Ireland Funds Monaco Residential Bursaries Support Writers

A former resident of Belvedere, California, Michael T. Jackson founded SFG Asset Advisors in 2001. He relocated from Belvedere to Florida shortly after establishing SFG. Having grown up in Ireland, Michael T. Jackson supports The Ireland Funds America and serves on its board of directors. The Ireland Funds presents a number of grants, such as The Ireland Funds Monaco (IFM) Residential Bursaries.

IFM Residential Bursaries supports writers through an annual grant that provides them with the assistance necessary to pursue a current writing project. Grants fund a one-month residency at the Princess Grace Irish Library in Monaco, where they can enjoy a period of undisturbed solitary to complete their work. Writers may also take advantage of the library’s various books, references, and administrative resources for research on their projects.

Recipients of IFM Residential Bursaries include writes born or living in Ireland who have a previously published work and who are in the midst of working on a new project. Writers must submit an application along with a CV and the name of at least one reference. Furthermore, recipients must host a lecture, talk, or reading to an invited audience during their residencies.

The Ireland Funds grants the award twice annually with residencies taking place from March to April and September to October. Grants cover the cost of accommodation and air flights.
