A remnant of the last ice age, Ireland’s Cliffs of Moher are one of its top tourist attractions and widely regarded as magical for the 1 million people who visit them annually. Situated on the western edge of Europe, they are approximately 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean from Boston and New York City.

Rising above the Atlantic to 390 feet at Hag’s Head in County Clare, the Cliffs of Moher reach their maximum height of 702 feet within just a few miles at O’Brien’s Tower. On a clear day, it’s possible to see the Aran Islands, as well as the Twelve Pins and Maumturks mountain ranges, from atop the cliffs.
